The Nesting Birth:

Birth Doula Support

Free consultation
2 Prenatal Visits
Continuous labor support
1 Postpartum visit
All packages include an initial consultation, 30-60 min, to help me understand your goals, values, and wants for your birth experience. We will also have two prenatal visits, either between us (any other desired support persons are welcome,) or alternatively, I can attend two appointments with you and your prenatal medical caregiver, (OB/GYN, midwife, etc.) During these visits we will go over your birth preferences, comfort measures, partner involvement, labor positions, and other logistics. Throughout your pregnancy you will have unlimited text and email support, with additional phone calls scheduled as needed. Beginning at week 38 of gestation, I'll be on-call 24/7 until baby is born. Once labor begins, you'll have early labor support via text and/or call with your choice for when to begin in-person support. During labor, support can include but is not limited to: physical and emotional support, prayer, positional support and recommendations, massage and counter pressure, labor coping techniques, pain management techniques, guided partner support, communication and advocacy with medical staff and/or family members, and light photography (at your request.) Immediately after the birth, I will stay 1-3 hours postpartum, support initial postpartum goals such as skin to skin and nursing, and more guided partner support. Within the first 7 days postpartum, I will provide one in-home visit to offer emotional and practical support which can include but is not limited to: meal prep, house work, baby care, nursing support, birth story recording, maternal recovery, or appointment attendance.

Tessa Fredrickson

Hi there, I'm Tessa and I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving from Rochester to La Crosse and the surrounding areas. I'm a retired massage therapist, current wife and mama to three living in bluffs around Winona. I fell in love with birth and the wild, powerful experience that it is after my first child was born, and I knew I would never be the same. I strongly believe that going through pregnancy and childbirth without a support system can make them harder, more frightening, and more dangerous - and it was never supposed to be like that. I want your experience bringing life into this world to be what it was always supposed to be - a peaceful, natural overflow of life, filled with joy, ease, and safety.
